Nite Lites at Michigan International Speedway returns with new Nite Lite Express

Nite Lites is back at Michigan International Speedway now through Dec. 31. Hours are 5:30 to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 5:30 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Introducing this year is the new Nite Lites Express. Get your tickets for the train on NiteLitesShow.com.

On Thursday, Dec. 8 from 4 to 8 p.m., Manitou Beach Village businesses will be holding a Sip & Shop. Go to manitoubeachmichigan.com for details.

Napoleon Community Schools will be holding its annual winter craft show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, at Napoleon Middle School.

The Onsted Chamber of Commerce is holding its craft show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 10, at Onsted Middle School featuring Santa, food vendors and more than 80 booths.

The Brooklyn American Legion’s Kids Christmas Party will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, at the American Legion Wilber-Bartlett Post No. 315 on Chicago Street in Brooklyn.

The Irish Hills Roots & Strings Music Series will feature the ACT lll Band from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15, at Jerry's Pub & Restaurant. Admission is a generous donation to the Brooklyn Food Pantry. Reservations can be made by calling Jerry's Pub at 517-467-4700.

Join Walton Insurance Group from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Dec. 16 for a free movie night in downtown Jackson at the Michigan Theatre. They will be showing the Christmas classic film “Elf” with free popcorn and soda for all those in attendance.

MST Dance Center will be holding its ninth annual Christmas event at the Tecumseh Center for the Arts in Tecumseh from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17. Tickets are available at MST Dance Center or at the door the day of the show.

Phoenix Rising Wellness centers is having a free acupuncture event for first responders and veterans at Station 3 Firehouse, 4111 Round Lake Highway in Manitou Beach, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. the third Saturday of every month. For December, it is on Dec. 17. The event is free to first responders, veterans and accompanying family and friends. Brooklyn Presbyterian Church is holding a “Kids Night Out” from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17. Drop your kids off for a night of fun, pizza, activities and Christmas cheer.
