- A man in New Jersey has turned lending a helping hand in his community into an international viral phenomenon.

(SINGING) Oh, good morning. Good morning. It's great to pick up trash.

- Steve Shimchick is the man behind TrashLove. The 27-year-old musician from New Brunswick started live streaming his neighborhood trash cleanups on Reddit a few months ago, and within weeks, he had more than 12,000 followers, and now he's interacting with people from around the world.

STEVE SHIMCHICK: There's a sense of community on the streams, and there was that sense of connectedness that I don't think, I think a lot of people have been missing in the pandemic.

- Shimchick is also inspiring others. There's a woman in Germany who's cleaning up her neighborhood, and she has her own followers. 2,000 so far.
