NKOTB Singer Jonathan Knight to Star in New HGTV Series 'Farmhouse Fixer'

Jonathan Knight went from hanging on our bedroom walls in poster form (throwback!) to remodeling walls. The New Kids on the Block singer is set to star in a brand new series for HGTV and his home makeover skills will make you swoon just as much as his vocals.

Farmhouse Fixer, as the show is called, will follow Knight as he restores dated New England farmhouses that deserve a second chance. Throughout this six-episode series, he'll modernize each home while preserving and capitalizing on its historic charm. If the show's title sounds familiar, it was previously announced by the network last year, but was not given an airdate until now.

Now, you may be sitting here wondering, "what does a boyband member know about design?" Well, it turns out Knight is not a new kid on the block when it comes to home renovations and actually has over 200 projects under his belt (also a Grammy, but who's keeping track?). As he tells HGTV in a statement about the series "restoring the American farmhouse is not just a hobby for me—it’s my passion, my obsession and I’ve been doing it for more than 25 years."

The Massachusetts native expands on why saving faded glory homes is so worthwhile to him. "It’s so easy to just go knock down an old house, he says, explaining that it's the challenge of renovating these properties so that "families can enjoy them for years to come" that drives him. For Knight, "being on a farm is a way of life" and there's a special place in his heart for these types of homes. "These are American treasures that should be saved," he says.

The series will kick off with a 1700s New Hampshire farmhouse renovation where friend and interior designer Kristina Crestin will join him. They'll work together to make this home sing as well as give some friendly chickens a coop! An episode that already checks off all the boxes on my list.

Farmhouse Fixer premieres on HGTV on Wednesday, March 3, at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
