NKY restaurant ranks on Yelp's list of top 100 eateries
A Newport, Kentucky eatery has managed to land a spot on Yelp's 10th annual ranking of Top 100 U.S. Restaurants.
Yelp, which publishes crowd-sourced reviews about businesses, listed Jot India Restaurant as number 48 in its latest ranking. No other Greater Cincinnati restaurants made the list.
Jot India was the only restaurant in Kentucky to place on the ranking. The list did not include any Ohio restaurants.
The company says it reached out to its users for their favorite dining spots and then "ranked each by total number of submissions, ratings, reviews, and geographic representation, among other factors."
The Yelp page for Jot India, located at 1709 Monmouth St., shows it has a rating of five stars with 103 reviews. Yelp reviewers suggested the vegetable samosas, chicken tikka masala and a side of deep-fried bhatura or garlic naan, according to the list.
"We are excited to announce that Jot India has been named yelps top 100 places to eat at. This couldn’t have been possible without the love and support of our loyal customers," the restaurant said in Facebook post on Tuesday. "We want to personally thank all you for supporting us and we look forward to your continued support in the years to come."
