A video for NLE Choppa’s “Champions” was released Wednesday, and the Memphis rapper’s latest features cameos from various titans of sport, from boxing greats Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Mike Tyson to NFL star Odell Beckham Jr. to NBA legend LeBron James.

“Champions,” the single from the deluxe edition of Choppa’s recent "Cottonwood 2" project, finds the 20-year-old training and palling around with various athletic greats. Other stars who guest include basketball greats Nancy Lieberman, Jewell Loyd and Kyrie Irving, as well as Olympic Gold medal swimmer Michael Andrew and LSU women's basketball star Angel Reese.

As the release accompanying the video notes, the clip shows Choppa “pushing his body to the limit in the weight room and the gym, but also focuses on kids expanding their minds and creative expression in classrooms and on marching-band practice fields.”

The students featured in the video include members of Whitehaven’s Fairley High football team and the kids at Cornerstone Prep — a Frayser school that Choppa has developed a reading challenge program for. The video also features scenes from a Tyre Nichols march held in Memphis in January.

Released in April, Choppa’s “Cottonwood” debuted at No. 1 on Spotify’s Top Album chart on the strength of its breakout single, “Ain’t Gonna Answer” featuring Lil Wayne. The deluxe edition includes nine additional tracks, among them a remix of viral smash “Slut Me Out” featuring St. Louis rapper Sexyy Red. It includes collaborations with NLE Entertainment artists Gino2x ("Clyde and Dodo"), Russ Millions ("Shake It"), Fridayy ("Will Not Lose") and ArrDee ("Envy").

He would go onto to sign with major label Warner Music, dropping his debut for the company, “Top Shotta,” in 2020. Choppa remained on Billboard’s Emerging Artists chart for a record-breaking 24 weeks in 2019 and earned a spot on last year’s Billboard 21 Under 21 list, while having earned 5.5 billion global streams and 15 certified RIAA plaques so far.
