No. 1 kids show on YouTube is bringing ‘interactive musical romp’ to Tri-Cities

Kids education YouTube channel CoComelon is taking its collection of nursery rhymes on tour and making a stop in the Tri-Cities.

A performance of “CoComelon Live! JJ’s Journey,” a Broadway-style adaptation of the beloved series, has been announced for Oct. 26 at the Toyota Center in Kennewick.

General admission tickets go on sale Friday.

The Tri-Cities performance will be among the last in a North American tour that spans more than 65 cities.

The show will encourage encourage parents and kids alike to “get out of their seats, and sing and dance along” with the complete cast and more than 20 songs, including original music.

“Each stop will be a fun-filled, interactive musical romp with magical special effects,” a news release reads.

CoComelon is a popular education show streaming on Amazon, Spotify, Apple Music, Roku and Netflix. It’s the No. 1 most watched entertainment channel on YouTube, and generates billions of views monthly on the webiste.

The show aims to “engage families with entertaining and educational content that makes universally-relatable preschool moments fun.” The videos aim to help preschoolers learn letters, numbers, animal sounds, colors, and even impart prosocial life lessons onto children and families.

“If you know kids who are obsessed with CoComelon and parents or family members who catch themselves singing along, this show is the perfect combination of a high-quality production for adults and consistent audience engagement to keep the kids entertained,” show producer Glenn Osher said in a release.
