The No. 1 Purdue Boilermakers play their first true road game this season as they visit the Rutgers Scarlet Knights.

Purdue (8-0, 1-0 Big Ten) opened conference play with a victory over Iowa that got really close in the closing minutes. Jaden Ivey (19 points) led the Boilermakers with electrifying plays and Trevion Williams (13 points, 18 rebounds) dominated inside.

Rutgers (4-4) got routed by Illinois in its Big Ten opener. Ron Harper Jr. leads the Scarlet Knights in scoring (14.8), rebounding (8.4) and 3-pointers (15). Guard Geo Baker has missed several games with a hamstring injury and is unlikely to face Purdue.

Rutgers has won the last three matchups between the teams, including a 81-76 decision last season, when the Scarlet Knights were nationally ranked.
