The No. 12 Auburn Tigers are headed to Los Angeles for the NCAA Regionals

The Auburn Tigers are headed to Los Angeles for the NCAA Regionals, it was announced Monday on the NCAA’s selection show.

The Tigers are the No. 12 seed and will be competing against No. 5 seed Utah, Southern Utah, and Washington in the regional semifinals.

The top two teams will then advance to the regional finals where they will battle the two winners from the other regional semifinal for two spots in the national finals.

Auburn’s opposing semifinal includes No. 4 UCLA, No. 14 Missouri, Stanford, and either BYU or Boise State.

The Los Angeles regional will start on March 29 and run until April 1.

In all, 36 teams made the regionals with the top 16 earning seeds based on National Qualifying Score. The remaining 20 were then placed into regionals based on geography. Of those 36 eight were from the SEC, including No. 2 Florida, No. 6 LSU, No. 8 Alabama, No. 9 Kentucky, No. 12 Auburn, and No. 14 Missouri.
