Now the No. 25 Knights will look to move up when it takes on the Memphis Tigers on Saturday afternoon.
UCF (6-2, 3-1 AAC) beat then-No. 19 Cincinnati 25-21 last week on a last-minute touchdown run by RJ Harvey. Starting quarterback John Rhys Plumlee went out in the second quarter with a head injury, but backup QB Mikey Keene stepped up with 176 passing yards. Coach Guz Malzahn said the team is going day-to-day with Plumlee's status at Memphis.
The Tigers (4-4, 2-3) are on a three-game losing streak, falling last week to No. 21 Tulane. QB Seth Henigan threw for 312 yards and three touchdowns, but he also tossed two interceptions. Henigan also led the Tigers in rushing with 42 yards.
