The LSU and Texas Longhorns baseball teams meet in the 2022 Shriners Hospitals for Children College Classic on Saturday, March 5.

Texas defeated LSU 6-1.

Texas, ranked No. 1 in the USA Today Sports Baseball Coaches Poll, improved to 11-0 overall. No. 7-ranked LSU went to 9-2 overall.

Texas' Murphy Stehly solo home run

Texas Longhorns designated hitter Murphy Stehly hit a solo home run over the left-field fence in the top of the eighth inning. Stehly's homer put Texas up 6-0 vs. LSU.

Texas center fielder Douglas Hodo III hit a three-run home run over the left-field wall in the top of the second inning. It put Texas up 4-0 vs. LSU. Trey Faltine and Dylan Campbell also scored for Texas on the homer.
