No booster shots after all? Maybe; Dr. Todd Ellerin explains

"I'd be surprised if we need annual boosters like we do with influenza," said Dr. Todd Ellerin, director of infectious diseases at South Shore Health. "At the same time, we know there's so many variants, I wouldn't be surprised if every once in a while to catch a variants or to decrease transmission to keep up with herd immunity, we might need a booster."
