With no catwalks allowed, fashion designers try movie directing

Without catwalks, fashion designers are taking on a new role:

movie director

Time: Paris Haute Couture Week

FRENCH DESIGNER JULIEN FOURNIE SAYING:

"We've been asked to reinvent ourselves after decades as designers. We've been asked to be able to sew, to design, to deal with social networks, to be people, to become artistic director, etc."

Fournie has turned to video to showcase his collection

He says lockdown has changed the demand for haute couture

"There are still parties, some weddings, but they've all become more private. More contained with all the social distancing. So these women also want higher quality clothes, they are reinventing their way of showing off. They're asking for less shiny dresses, less extravagant, dresses that they can show off in a little group."
