🌱 No Changes To School COVID Protocols + Drug Bust

  1. A Mobile Fire-Rescue firefighter has filed a sexual harassment claim against the captain. The investigation is being led by the Office of Professional Responsibility and they will take the appropriate disciplinary action against the individual that was identified as the perpetrator if the accusation is found to be true. The name of the captain under investigation is not being released by officials. (NBC 15 WPMI)

  2. After Mobile students return to school from a break forced by COVID-19, no changes will be made to COVID-19 protocols by the school district. Mobile County Public School System Chresal Threadgill says students will not be required to wear masks despite being suggested. Crews have been cleaning and sanitizing schools as students get ready to return and virtual learning will still be an option if the situation reverts back. (NBC 15 WPMI)

  3. Mobile Police Department presented 86 pounds of high-grade marijuana, THC-laced vaping material, and a large number of THC-candy bars confiscated during a high-profile drug bust made last week. The estimated street value of the drugs totaled $257,000. Police Chief Paul Prine reports the drugs were marketed to attract children and was the culmination of a weeks-long investigation.
