No New Coronavirus Deaths In Southwestern PA

PITTSBURGH, PA —There were no new coronavirus deaths in southwestern Pennsylvania on Friday. The Allegheny County death toll remained steady at 173, the county health department announced.

The number of coronavirus cases in the county during the outbreak climbed to 2,076, up from 2,065 on Friday and 2,055 on Thursday.

Three hundred and fifty-seven people people have been hospitalized in the county during the outbreak. There were two new hospitalizations on Friday.

With 611 confirmed cases in Beaver County, 483 in Westmoreland County, 256 in Butler County and 153 in Washington County, that brings the total number of cases in the five-county
southwestern Pennsylvania region to 3,579. That's up from 3, 555 on Friday and 3,539 on Thursday.

According to the state Department of Health, 304 people have died thus far in the five-county region: One hundred and seventy-three in Allegheny County, 75 in Beaver County, 38 in Westmoreland County, 12 in Butler County and six in Washington County.
