No New Coronavirus Deaths In Southwestern PA

PITTSBURGH, PA — There were no new coronavirus deaths in Allegheny County and four other southwestern Pennsylvania counties on Friday. The Allegheny County death toll remains at 168.

The number of coronavirus cases in the county climbed to 1,989, up from 1,973 on Friday and 1,965 on Thursday.

Three hundred and fifty people people have been hospitalized in the county during the outbreak. That's up from 349 on Friday and 347 on Thursday.

With 598 confirmed cases in Beaver County, 456 in Westmoreland County, 239 in Butler County and 141 in Washington County, that brings the total number of cases in the five-county
southwestern Pennsylvania region to 3,423. That's up from3,407 on Friday and 3,387 on Thursday.

According to the state Department of Health, 298 people have died thus far in the five-county region: One hundred and sixty-eight in Allegheny County, 74 in Beaver County, 38 in Westmoreland County, 12 in Butler County and six in Washington County.
