Student, wrestler at Northern State University dies Wednesday

Caden Moore, a Northern State University student and wrestler, died Wednesday, according to a news release from the school.

Moore, from O'Neill, Neb., was a senior studying special education.

He died unexpectedly, and authorities have told university officials that no foul play is suspected, per the release.

Brown County Coroner Mike Carlsen said Moore, who was 22, was found at 3:35 p.m. Wednesday in his vehicle off campus.

It's the second death the Northern wrestling team has had to cope with in recent years. In 2018, Curtis LeMair died suddenly on Oct. 17. He was an 18-year-old freshman. Autopsy findings pointed to an undetected genetic heart condition as the likely cause of death.
