The heartbroken mother of a Brooklyn man whose decomposing corpse was found face-up in a Bronx apartment struggled Tuesday to make sense of her son’s gruesome stabbing death — and urged law enforcement to find the killer.

“I am so surprised. I don’t know who did this. I don’t know why he was there,” said Musu Saunders, 66. “I want them to find this person.”

Cops found the body of Adam Saunders, 23, on the living room floor of a second-floor apartment after a 911 call of a foul odor in the Pelham Parkway home just before 9:40 a.m. Monday.

“I am depressed. It’s hard for me to talk so much right now,” the devastated mom said. “I am not feeling good.”

Saunders was the father of a year-old boy, and dreamed of one day becoming a professional basketball player, his mother said.

“He wanted to play basketball. He has been playing (since) he was small ... from 9 years old,” the mother of five said. “His son is 1 1/4 u00bd. He will be 2 in August.”

Among family, Saunders was known as a funnyman, always managing to make others laugh, she added.

“He was a jokester,” she said. “He was friendly. He was always making jokes with people.”

Saunders was known to frequent the Bronx apartment building where his punctured corpse was found, police sources said Monday. There were no immediate arrests in the case as the investigation continued.
