No injuries reported after bus crash near Holland Middle School

HOLLAND — There were no injuries reported after a vehicle collided with a bus Monday, March 27, near Holland Middle School, according to the Holland Department of Public Safety.

Officers were dispatched shortly before 3 p.m. to a crash involving a school bus on 24th Street near Holland Middle School, according to a news release.

Investigation showed the bus, driven by a 56-year-old Holland woman, was traveling west on 24th Street, passing the eastern-most driveway to Holland Middle School, when a 2012 Ford Fusion driven by a 16-year-old Holland boy pulled out from the drive and struck the side of the bus.

There were roughly 32 students on the bus at the time of the collision and there were no injuries, according to the release. They were transferred to other buses for transportation home.

The 16-year-old was cited for failing to yield right-of-way.
