Nawazuddin’s ‘McMafia’ Wins Int’l Emmy; No Luck for ‘Sacred Games’
The popular Netflix series Sacred Games and original film Lust Stories drew a blank at the International Emmys held in New York on Monday night. Both Sacred Games and Lust Stories were nominated at the awards in the Best Drama Series and Best TV Movie / Mini-Series categories respectively. Actor Radhika Apte, who was nominated for Best Actress in a Drama Series, also lost out in the awards race.
While the Best Drama series was won by the British show McMafia, the Best TV Movie / Mini-Series honour went to the Australian entry Safe Harbour. McMafia also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and the actor was clicked accepting the award with the other cast members.
