'No Jab, No Job': COVID-19 Themes at New York's Halloween Parade

A woman dressed as a nurse holding a large vaccine needle took part in New York City’s annual Halloween Parade, which made its return on October 31 after being cancelled in 2020 due to COVID-19.

Video by Leeroy Press shows the woman leaning into the crowd holding an oversized pretend needle saying “Boosters for the rest of your lives. Money, Money, Money.” In another video, parade participants can be heard shouting “no jab, no job.”

Event organizers said this year’s themes were “Let’s Play” and “All Together Now”, with the parade dedicated to the “children of NYC who could not celebrate Halloween last year” because of the pandemic.

With the pandemic still ongoing, organizers encouraged those watching and taking part in the parade to wear a mask. Credit: LeeroyPress via Storyful
