Good morning,

Back in 2018, Lynyrd Skynyrd played a farewell concert at TIAA Bank Field as part of what was supposed to be a farewell tour.

While the band has a some more dates set in other areas, Johnny Van Zant told Times-Union reporter Tom Szaroleta that Lynyrd Skynyrd doesn't plan to do another show in Jacksonville.

"No, I don’t believe that will ever happen," Van Zant said. "I truly believe we went out on top in Jacksonville and I don’t want to see us play here again."

But as Tom points out in his story, the 50th anniversary of the band's first album is next year. So, who knows, we might see the band at least one more time.

Pro soccer is returning to Jacksonville with Tim Tebow-backed USL franchise.

That was the big headline of the week for soccer fans and people looking for another regular outing for the family.

Reporter Clayton Freeman got the scoop and brought our readers tons of details. In addition to the main story, Clayton wrote this one: 'I'm excited about this': Tim Tebow, JAXUSL group plan next steps for Jacksonville soccer.

Also, while I'm mentioning Clayton, I'd like to let you know about our new First Coast Varsity newsletter for high school sports, which you can sign up for here.

Reporter Teresa Stepzinski this week looked at the renovations of a 110-year San Marco building on Kings Avenue.

It's being renovated to house the Industry West corporate headquarters.

The project is about 80 percent complete and is expected to cost about $5 million. Photographer Bob Self has some great photos from inside the project you will also see in the story or in this gallery.

Reporter Juston Lewis has a fun story this week, putting together on paper what he sees as a dream high school football team.

Juston would know. He and Clayton cover high school preps (in addition to writing other sports stories), and they've been able to watch how great these players are on the field.
