Based on the 2010 novella "Foster" by Claire Keegan, "The Quiet Girl" was nominated for Best International Feature earlier this year at the Academy Awards and is headed to Savannah for one night only on Friday.

When a nine-year-old girl from a dysfunctional family goes to live with distant relatives for the summer, she discovers a new way of living. The film stars Carrie Crowley, Andrew Bennett, Catherine Clinch and Michael Patric. It's written and directed by Colm Bairéad.
