No one injured after vehicle crashes into laundromat in El Paso's Lower Valley
A car crashing through the wall of a Lower Valley laundromat didn’t stop the washers and dryers from spinning.
The owners said an 86-year-old regular customer planning to wash at the laundromat told them he accidentally hit the gas pedal instead of the brake, sending his vehicle into the business.
The accident happened around 12:55 p.m. Wednesday at Laundry USA, 850 N. Carolina Drive, Space 1.
Photos by co-owner Juan M. Barroso show the vehicle’s front end crashed through a doorway.
The damaged area was boarded up, but business continued through a side entrance and another door on the same side as the damaged main entrance.
No one was injured in the accident, the laundromat's owners said.
