The Powerball jackpot has climbed to an estimated $960 million, the fourth-largest prize in the history of the game, after no one had a ticket matching all numbers for Wednesday night's drawing, lottery officials said Friday.

There's a 1 in 292.2 million chance of winning the jackpot in the next Powerball drawing, which will be Saturday evening.

Wednesday's drawing was the 30th in a row without a jackpot winner. Four tickets matched all five white balls for the $1-million prize. One of them was sold at a Quik Stop store in San Jose.

The winning numbers were 1, 7, 46, 47, 63 and red Powerball 7.

After Wednesday's drawing, Powerball officials estimated the next jackpot would be $925 million, but it continued to climb as more players bought tickets in hopes of winning a huge payout.

The last jackpot winner came when a $1-billion ticket was sold July 19 at the Las Palmitas Mini Market at East 12th and Wall streets in downtown Los Angeles. The winner of that jackpot, the third-largest in Powerball history, hasn't come forward yet or been identified.

The largest Powerball jackpot was $2.04 billion for a ticket that was purchased at an Altadena gas station last year.

Powerball jackpot winners can choose to claim the prize in 30 graduated installments or a cash option, which is paid out in a lump sum. Winners have up to a year from the date of the draw to claim their prize.

The jackpot goes to whoever matches all five numbers and the Powerball, and it can be split if multiple people win.

Powerball is played in 45 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
