No serious injuries in I-84 truck rollover

Dec. 24—VERNON — No serious injuries were reported as a result of a tractor-trailer rollover accident early Friday morning on Interstate 84, near exit 64.

The accident was reported around 6:30 a.m., and officials say first responders from Vernon found the driver of the trailer truck walking around.

The driver was not transported to a hospital and no other individuals or vehicles were involved in the accident, officials say.

Officials say Vernon Fire Department secured the scene of the accident, and the state's Department of Energy and Environmental Protection found no hazardous materials on site.

Town Administrator Michael Purcaro said state police are investigating the accident.
