No, Texas has never won March Madness. Here's what their best NCAA Tournament finishes have been.

As a No. 2 seed, Texas has been the highest remaining seed in this year's NCAA Tournament since No. 1 Houston lost to Miami in the Sweet 16. It's just the second time in tournament history that the Final Four will not feature any No. 1 seeds.

The Longhorns are looking to advance to their first Final Four in 20 years with a win vs. Miami on Sunday. In 2003, their loss to eventual national runner-up Syracuse, is the deepest run the Longhorns have ever made since the tournament expanded to the 64-team format in 1985.

In 1947, Texas also lost in the Final Four vs. Oklahoma by a score of 55-54. The team then won in a third place game against City College of the City University of New York. A few years earlier in 1943, the team lost in the Final Four vs. Wyoming and did not play in a third place game that year.

Unlike the Longhorn women, who won a national championship in 1986, the men have never won or played in a national championship game.

Texas has ended season in Elite Eight three times

Beyond these finishes, Texas has had their season end in the Elite Eight three times: In 1990 vs. Arkansas, in 2006 vs. LSU and in 2008 vs. Memphis.

In 1939, they also lost in the Elite Eight against Oregon, but the Longhorns' season ended with a loss in a third place game vs. Utah State.
