No Time To Die is set to be somewhat of a game-changer for the James Bond franchise.

The film has been penned by Fleabag's Phoebe Waller-Bridge, it features four female stars who are set to flip the concept of the 'Bond girl' on its head, and it's strongly rumoured that we'll be getting our first-ever female 007.

It's no wonder then that Naomie Harris – who plays a more contemporary interpretation of Moneypenny – sees Bond 25 as the instalment to really bring the franchise into modern era.

Speaking to The Guardian about the role women will play in the film, she said: "In Bond 25 you have four strong, intelligent women who are responsible for driving the plot forward. They’ve never had that in Bond before."

007 himself is even in a committed relationship in the film, to which Naomie remarked: "He’s not disrespecting women, he’s not after a woman because of how attractive she looks and what quality lay she is. He’s genuinely in a relationship with a woman he respects, loves and cherishes."

Recently, James Bond himself Daniel Craig responded angrily to claims that Phoebe Waller-Bridge had been hired for the sake of diversity.

During an interview with The Times, he said: "She's a great writer. Why shouldn't we get Phoebe onto Bond? That's the answer to that. I know where you're going, but I don't actually want to have that conversation.

"I know what you're trying to do, but it's wrong. It's absolutely wrong. She's a f**king great writer. One of the best English writers around."

Damn straight, she is.

James Bond's 25th movie No Time to Die has a UK release date of April 3, 2020, and opens in the US on April 8, 2020. All the previous Bond movies are available on DVD or Blu-ray.
