Noah tells the story of Trump and Pelosi's unromantic comedy

It's the age-old story: President argues with speaker. Speaker cancels president's State of the Union address. President cancels her overseas trip to, among other things, visit the troops in Afghanistan. Did you miss the melodramatic airport scene? Late-night comic Trevor Noah provides it in today's Best of Late Night, above, as he compares the bickering between the two to a bitter love story.

It would be great if the pettiness between President Donald Trump and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was a fake Hollywood movie. Instead, it's our government in action. And who is suffering the most? The federal workers who are still not getting paid during the continued government shutdown (which both Pelosi and Trump cite as the cause of their actions). Jimmy Kimmel compares the way Trump is running the government to a now-defunct business.

And Jimmy Fallon points out a different kind of embarrassment brought about by the communication between the two leaders.
