Nobles County Fair begins next week in Worthington

Jul. 28—WORTHINGTON — The Nobles County Fair takes center stage in Worthington next week, with some judging events planned later this week.

Following is the full schedule:

Thursday, July 28

1 p.m. — Horse Show at Jackson County Fair

Friday, July 29

10 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Performance Day and Foods Day judging, Worthington Christian Church, 1501 Douglas Ave, Worthington. The following will be judged: food and Nutrition, Food Preservation, Food Revue, Clothing & Textiles, Fashion Revue, Performing Arts, Public Presentations & Livestock Demonstrations.

5:30 p.m.: Public Fashion Review & Performing Arts Show, Worthington Christian Church, Worthington.

Monday, August 1

8 a.m. — 4-H Dog Show (Hockey Arena)

5 p.m — 8 p.m. Entry of Open Class Foods, Fine Arts, Fancy Work, Fruits and Vegetables, Plants and Flowers

Tuesday, August 2

9 to 11 a.m.: Livestock Interviews

9 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Pre-fair judging of 4-H non-livestock exhibits, 4-H buildings

9 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Entry of all Open Class foods, fine arts, fancy work, fruits and vegetables, plants and flowers.

Wednesday, August 3

10 a.m. to 9 p.m.: Exhibit buildings open

11 a.m.: 4-H Dairy Show in Olson Arena

3:30 p.m.: 4-H Poultry Show in Olson Arena

Merriam's Midway Shows opens

6 p.m.: Free burger feed, Beer Garden

6:30 p.m.: Farm Family of the Year presentation

6:30 p.m.: 4-H Sheep Show, Olson Arena

7 p.m.: Nebraska Bush Tractor Pullers, grandstand

7 p.m.: Bean Bag Tournament

7 p.m.: 12th Anniversary MK5K, starts in front of Benton Hall
