The Ravenna Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for Raven Awards. The nominations are due by May 1.

Nominations may be made using a form that can be found on the chamber's website. The chamber will give awards in the categories of lifetime achievement, volunteer of the year, citizen of the year, new construction, new renovation and new business in 2022.

In addition, the awards will recognize Tricia Krause and her late husband, Gary, who were Honorary Way recipients, and winners of scholarships through the chamber.

Chamber Executive Director Ryann Kuchenbecker said the chamber's board is looking for businesses and individuals who deserve to be recognized.

Attendance at the award ceremony is free, and there will be a reception after the ceremony at the West Main Street Winery.

Nominations may be submitted by any individual, group or business residing, working, or doing business in the Ravenna area community. In order to win the awards, the individual must live or work in the Ravenna community, may not have won in the previous year and cannot be serving on the selection committee for the awards.

Winners will receive a complementary one-year membership to the chamber to help ensure that their business succeeds, Kuchenbecker said.

One nomination per application form may be submitted. Applications must be received at the Chamber Office, 135 East Main Street, Ravenna, Ohio 44266. For questions regarding the awards or nomination process, contact Kuchenbecker at 330-296-3886.
