Nominations now accepted for UNLV Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2024

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Nominations are now being accepted for the UNLV Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2024.

According to a release, the deadline for receiving nominations for the UNLV Athletics Hall of Fame is Tuesday, Feb. 13.

Started in 1987, the UNLV Athletics Hall of Fame now has over 130 members, including 17 teams.

To be eligible for the Class of 2024, former student-athletes must have left UNLV by 2014 or prior, and coaches and staff must have left their positions at the school by 2019 or prior.

Categories for nominations are athlete, coach, athletics staff, athletics administration, team, and distinguished contributor.

To nominate a candidate, email UNLV Athletics Hall of Fame committee chairman Mark Wallington at mark.wallington@unlv.edu with the name of the candidate and reasons for nominating.

Nominations should also include a current email address and/or phone number of the person nominated.

The Class of 2024 will be inducted on May 17 at the Strip View Pavilion at the Thomas and Mack Center on campus. Tickets will go on sale in the spring after the class is formally announced.
