Nordic Skiing: Brainerd wins team titles at the CLC championships
Feb. 2—BRAINERD — The Brainerd boys and girls took home titles at the Central Lakes Conference championships at the Northland Arboretum.
Willmar's boys finished seventh of seven teams. The Willmar girls were also in seventh place out of seven.
Brainerd's boys scored 396 points to slip by Fergus Falls, which had 380. Willmar scored 168.
Willmar's Andrew Garcia finished in 16th place in the Classic race with a time of 22 minutes, 1.56 seconds. Timothy Halvorson finished 18th in Freestyle with a time of 19:35.57.
Brainerd's girls scored 397 points. Sartell/Cathedral was second with 385. Willmar had 166.
Willmar's Emmie Larson took 16th in Classic in 22:33.74. Elizabeth Haugen was 20th in Freestyle in 28:06.28.
