Nordstrom Rack announces new Middle Tennessee store. Find out where

Franklin's Cool Springs Market, at 2000 Mallory Lane, is planning to add a new tenant to its lineup next year.

Nordstrom Rack recently announced that it will open a location there in the fall.

Cool Springs Market opened in 1995 with a Kroger, Staples and a variety of other shops. A DSW Shoe Warehouse was added in 2016.

The Franklin store will be Nordstrom Rack's second in Williamson County. The Brentwood store opened in 2014.

Created as a shoe store in 1901, Nordstrom has grown to 350+ stores across the United States. Nordstrom Rack was created in 1973 as a clearance center that offers customers up to 70% off all brands and accessories sold at Nordstrom.

"We look forward to being a part of the Franklin community and serving our customers with an amazing offering of great brands at great prices," Gemma Lionello, president of Nordstrom Rack Stores, said in prepared statements. "We're excited to grow our footprint in the region and introduce new customers to the Nordstrom experience."

At 24,000 square feet, the Franklin store will be 12,000 square feet smaller than a traditional 32,000-square-foot Nordstrom Rack, but Blake Beaver, regional director of leasing at Kite Realty Group Trust, said he's still looking forward to welcoming it to Franklin.

“The coveted brand and its excellent products will be an ideal complement to our center's diverse and appealing range of offerings,” he said.

One of the unique features of the location is that customers will be able to pick up online orders from both Nordstrom.com and NordstromRack.com.

The store does not yet have an opening date set, but project updates can be found at Nordstrom.com.
