Norman Reedus and Diane Kruger Buy Castle-Like $8.5 Million Mansion

Norman Reedus and Diane Kruger have a new home fit for royalty. The Walking Dead actor, who already owns a handful of properties on the East Coast, and his wife recently snapped up an impressive, if eccentric, 1920s villa in the Hollywood Hills for $8.5 million.

The couple’s new home measures a generous 7,732 square feet and features four bedrooms and five full and two half bathrooms spread out across three floors. From the outside, the home appears almost fairy-tale-esque, with round towers topped with pointed roofs. Inside, however, the interiors are modern and spacious, likely courtesy of designers Robert and Courtney Novogratz, who substantially updated the property several years ago.

The front foyer opens onto a bilevel combination living room and dining room, with a sleek, modern fireplace anchoring the living room space and a number of large picture windows framing the dining area. The chef’s kitchen features a large marble-topped island and white subway tile backsplash; a connected breakfast room features one wall chicly painted black, and sets of steel-rimmed French doors that open out onto the backyard.

The master suite, located on the upper level along with several of the guest bedrooms, features a lofted ceiling and access to its own small balcony with stunning views of the city. Several single Edison bulbs dangle over the bedroom from the middle of the ceiling. The master bathroom is equally design-forward, featuring another black-painted wall, gorgeous tile floors, a modern deep-soaking tub, and a tinted glass-fronted steam shower.

The subterranean level features a wine cellar, a recording studio, and a loftlike gym. The backyard is made for entertaining, with an outdoor kitchen shaded by abundant greenery and an oval-shaped pool. Tiled terraces provide a nice backdrop for an outdoor gathering.

Reedus's other properties include a penthouse in lower Manhattan, a West Village townhouse he and Kruger bought together for $11.75 million in 2018, two upstate New York homes, and a contemporary house in Atlanta.
