KEY ACTION: Approved new roofing for Orchard Hill Intermediate school and Hoover High School.

DISCUSSION: The contractor for the roofing at Orchard Hill is Technique Roofing Systems at a cost of $13,500 (gravel roof) and $78,900 for Durolast prefabricated membrane.

For the installation of new roof sections at Hoover High School, the contractor is Damschroder Roofing at a cost including alternates: $356,030.

OTHER ACTION:

  • Hired two new assistant principals with three-year contracts effective Aug.1 for Anna Stangelo at North Canton Intermediate school and Tim Hulse at North Canton Middle School. Their salaries were not immediately available.

  • Approved the following College Credit Plus Memorandums of Understandings for the 2023-2024 school year: Stark State College; The University of Akron; Kent State University;

  • Authorized the purchase of Acellus Learning System for Acellus online licenses, for the 2023-2024 school year, at for $22,000.

  • Approved a contracted agreement with Hasenstab Architects for work at the athletic complex at a total fee, including estimated reimbursables, of $197,500.

  • Approved an agreement with Daktronics and LMC Services for the installation of a new scoreboard/video board at Memorial Stadium, for $303,459.
