North Carolina high school football scores NCHSAA Week 4 in Gastonia, Shelby, NC

Here are Week 4 results for high school football in Cleveland, Gaston and Lincoln counties.

Burns 48, Watauga 28: The Bulldogs (3-1) scored the game’s final 27 points to avenge a loss to Watauga last fall. Jeremiah Norris had three touchdown runs and Ryan Thompson ran for two touchdowns. Ben Mauney also threw touchdown passes to L.J. Allen and Kahari Surratt.

Christ the King 14, Bessemer City 13: Bessemer City drops to 0-4.

Draughn 62, Highland Tech 6: Highland Tech is 0-4.

Mountain Island Charter 27, Union Academy 0: Defensive standouts Ashton Miller, Khiyale Washington and Jamarcus Boyd helped Mountain Island Charter move to 2-0.

Shelby 57, Hibriten 21: Shelby (1-3) earned its first win of 2022, easily taking care of Hibriten. Daylin Lee threw two touchdown passes to Izay Bridges and one each to Eli Falls and JaKeith Hamilton. Bricen Kee rushed for two touchdowns, with Tristan Tate scoring touchdowns on an 8-yard run and a fumble return.
