North Carolina man, 35, dies after losing control, causing head-on collision on FMB
A 35-year-old Salisbury, North Carolina, man died Friday evening after a two-vehicle crash on Fort Myers Beach.
The crash happened around 7:45 p.m. Friday along Estero Boulevard, near Redfish Road, according to a Florida Highway Patrol incident report.
A motorcycle driven by the unidentified North Carolina man was traveling south on Estero Boulevard, approaching Redfish Road, as a pickup driven by a 65-year-old Bonita Springs man was going north on Estero Boulevard, north of Redfish Road.

Troopers said the motorcyclist lost control and veered onto the northbound lane, causing a head-on collision.
The motorcyclist died at the scene.
At least 43 people have died in Lee County crashes this year.
