The North Carolina and Kansas men's basketball teams meet in the 2022 NCAA Tournament national championship on Monday, April 4.

Kansas defeated UNC 72-69.

No. 1-seeded Kansas improved to 34-6 overall. No. 8 seed UNC ended the season 29-10 overall.

North Carolina guard Puff Johnson hit a left-corner 3-pointer with 8:16 left in the second half. Johnson's basket tied the game 57-57 with Kansas.

KU's Remy Martin 3-pointer

Kansas guard Remy Martin hit a right-corner 3-pointer with 10:21 left in the second half. Martin's basket put Kansas up 53-50 vs. UNC.

KU's David McCormack dunk

Kansas forward David McCormack dunked via an assist from Dajuan Harris Jr. with 19:22 left in the second half. McCormack's dunk cut the UNC lead to 40-27.

UNC's Puff Johnson putback basket

North Carolina guard Puff Johnson grabbed an offensive rebound and made a putback basket with one second left in the first half. Johnson's basket put UNC up 40-25 vs. Kansas.

UNC's Brady Manek 3-pointer

North Carolina forward Brady Manek hit a left-wing 3-pointer via an assist from Leaky Black with 5:09 left in the first half. Manek's basket put UNC up 28-22 vs. Kansas.

KU's Remy Martin banked 3-pointer

Kansas guard Remy Martin banked a 3-pointer at the top of the key with 10:27 left in the first half. Martin put Kansas up 18-14 vs. North Carolina.

UNC's Armando Bacot putback basket

North Carolina forward Armando Bacot grabbed the offensive rebound on a missed shot by RJ Davis, and Bacot made a layup with 13:30 left in the first half. Bacot was fouled on the play, and he made the ensuing free throw to put UNC up 12-11 vs. Kansas.

KU's Ochai Agbaji 3-pointer

Kansas guard Ochai Agbaji hit a 3-pointer with 19:47 left in the first half. Agbaji's basket put Kansas up 3-0 vs. North Carolina.
