North Hempstead Town Resumes Full Enforcement Of Parking Rules

TOWN OF NORTH HEMPSTEAD, NY — Enforcement of all parking regulations in the Town of North Hempstead returned in full Saturday.

The Town's public safety department previously focused parking enforcement on health and safety violations due to the coronavirus lockdown. The department only strictly enforced handicap spot violations, fire hydrant violations and violations of "No Parking Anytime" restrictions.

Full enforcement of parking regulations has resumed and residents should follow all local parking regulations, pay meters and observe all time limit restrictions.

Drivers who park at metered spaces in Port Washington can use the Passport Parking App on their smartphone to pay for parking. The app is available to download for free on the App Store and Google Play. Users can also access the service online at passportparking.com. Transaction fees will apply.

Residents with additional questions regarding parking enforcement are encouraged to call 516-869-6311 or 311.
