North Jersey school closings, delayed openings, early dismissals for Tuesday, March 14
Winter is not quite done with us yet.
With snow expected for parts of North Jersey overnight into Tuesday morning, some schools have announced closures, delayed openings or early dismissals.
The National Weather Service predicts that rain will change over to snow across higher elevations into Tuesday as a nor'easter hits the region. Some areas could see up to seven inches, while others may see little accumulation.
Gov. Phil Murphy has declared a state of emergency for Morris, Sussex, Warren, Passaic and Bergen counties beginning at 8 p.m. on Monday.
"Please use caution on the roads. There will be a two-hour delayed opening for state offices tomorrow morning," Murphy tweeted.
