North Jersey traffic roundup: Giants-Jets, Bruce, racing, Urban Latino Festival, soccer

Bergen County traffic

  • At MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford the Giants and Jets preseason game will be on Aug. 26 and Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will perform on Aug. 30, Sept. 1 and Sept. 3. These events may cause congestion at Exit 16W on the New Jersey Turnpike; Routes 3, 17 and 120; Interstate 495, the Lincoln Tunnel, and the George Washington Bridge.

  • Horse racing at Meadowlands Racetrack in East Rutherford from 6:20 to 11 p.m., Sept. 1 through Sept. 9 may cause traffic issues around the area of the complex.

  • All lanes will be closed for construction on the George Washington Bridge lower level eastbound, from 11 p.m. on Aug. 25 to 8 a.m. on Aug. 26.

  • Two lanes will be closed for line striping on Route 17 north between East Saddle River Road in Ridgewood and Lake Street in Ramsey, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., through Aug. 26.

  • The southbound ramp from the Palisades Intersate Parkway to the George Washington Bridge upper level will be closed and detoured for construction from 10 p.m. to Aug. 26 to 5 a.m. on Aug. 27.

  • At least one local lane will be closed for roadwork on I-80 eastbound near Exit 66 in Hackensack, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., through Aug. 26.

  • The left lane will be closed for bridge inspection on Route 46 westbound near Outwater Lane in Saddle Brook on Aug. 30, from 1 to 3 p.m.

  • Two lanes will be closed for construction on Route 4 westbound, between Belle Avenue and River Road in Teaneck, from 11 p.m. on Sept. 9 through 8 a.m. on Sept. 10.

  • The Fair Lawn Avenue bridge will remain closed between Second Street in Fair Lawn and Route 20 in Paterson for bridge replacement through Nov. 30.

Essex County traffic

  • The Urban Latino Festival on Aug. 25, from 8 to 11 p.m., may cause traffic near the Prudential Center in Newark.

  • The left express lane will be closed for roadwork on I-78 in each direction near Exit 58 in Newark on Aug. 25, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

  • The right lane will be closed for roadwork on I-280 westbound near Exit 6 in Livingston on Aug. 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

  • Two lanes will be closed in both directions for construction on Route 21 between Exit 7 in Belleville and Exit 12 in Passaic, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., through Aug. 26.

  • At least one lane will be closed for roadwork on I-280 in each direction between Exits 11 and 12 in East Orange, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., through Aug. 26.

  • The left lane will be closed for roadwork on I-80 eastbound near Exit 58 in Paterson, on Aug. 28, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

  • The left lane will be closed for drainage improvements on Route 10 in both directions from the Ledgewood traffic circle in Roxbury to Prospect Ave in West Orange, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Aug. 28 through Aug. 31. A moving operation in this area will close one lane in each direction, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., Aug. 28 through Sept. 2.

  • The right lane will be closed for landscaping on Route 21 northbound between South Street and the Prudential Center in Newark, from 7 p.m. on Sept. 10 to 3:30 a.m. on Sept. 11.

Hudson County traffic

  • The New York Red Bulls soccer game on Aug. 26 at 7:30 p.m. may cause some delays near Red Bull Arena in Harrison.

  • The NJ/NY Gotham FC soccer game on Aug. 27 at 5:30 p.m. may cause some delays near Red Bull Arena in Harrison.

  • The right lane will be closed for road maintenance operations on Route 139 Upper eastbound, from Central Avenue to Oakland Street in Jersey City, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., through Aug. 25.

  • Two lanes will be closed for bridge work on Truck Route 1&9 southbound at the Hackensack River Drawbridge in Kearny/Jersey City, from 9 p.m. on Aug. 25 through 4 a.m. on Aug. 26.

  • All southbound lanes will be closed and detoured northbound for bridge maintenance operations on Route 7, between Charlotte Circle in Jersey City and Fish House Road in Kearny, Aug. 26 at 5 a.m. through Aug. 27 at 9 p.m.

  • The Lincoln Tunnel South Tube eastbound will be closed from 11 p.m. on Aug. 24 to 5 a.m. on Aug. 25.

  • The Eastern Spur of the New Jersey Turnpike northbound will be closed between Newark and Ridgefield, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., through Aug. 24.

  • All lanes will be closed for construction on New Jersey Turnpike Outer Roadway southbound, between Exit 14 and exit 6, from 9 p.m. on Aug. 24 to 5 a.m. on Aug. 25.

Morris County traffic

  • The right lane will be closed for utility work on Route 46 in both directions near Willow Grove Street in Mount Olive on Aug. 25, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

  • The left lane will be closed for bridge work on Route 15 northbound in Jefferson, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Aug. 25.

  • The right lane will be closed for construction on Route 10 westbound, between Route 202 and Davis Avenue in Morris Plains, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Aug. 25.

  • The right lane will be closed on Route 15 in both directions near Berkshire Valley Road in Rockaway and Jefferson, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Aug. 25.

  • All lanes will be closed intermittently for utility work on Route 46 eastbound near Alphano Road in Independence, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., on Aug. 25.

  • At least one lane will be closed for roadwork on I-80 westbound between Exit 59 in Paterson and exit 45 in Parsippany, between 8:30 p.m. on Aug. 25 through 8 a.m. on Aug. 26.

  • The left lane will be closed for roadwork on I-280 westbound near Exit 1W in Parsippany from 10 p.m. on Aug. 25 through Aug. 26 at 3 a.m.

  • The right local lane will be closed for roadwork on I-80 westbound near Exit 47A in Parsippany, from 11 p.m. on Aug. 25 to 7 a.m. on Aug. 26.

  • The left lane will be closed for drainage improvements on Route 10 in both directions from the Ledgewood traffic circle in Roxbury to Prospect Ave in West Orange, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Aug. 28 through Aug. 31.   • Two lanes will be closed for construction on Route 46 eastbound between Browertown Road in Little Falls and Route 3 in Clifton, from 9 p.m. on Aug. 25 through 5 a.m. on Aug. 26.

  • Two lanes will be closed in both directions for construction on Route 21 between Exit 7 in Belleville and Exit 12 in Passaic, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., through Aug. 26.

  • The right lane will be closed on Route 20 northbound, between Route 46 in Clifton and 20th Avenue in Paterson, for drainage improvements and longterm construction until Sept. 29.
