North Korea marks armistice anniversary with fireworks
In the video provided by North Korea's official news agency KCNA, which Reuters cannot independently verify, Pyongyang residents were seen watching fireworks display over the tower of Juche Idea.
The footage also showed people laying flowers at the statues of North Korean founder Kim Il Sung and late leader Kim Jong Il on Mansu hill and sculpture of victory at war memorial in Pyongyang.
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un attended a war veterans' event and said there will be no more war as the country's nuclear weapons guarantee its safety and future despite unabated outside pressure and military threats, KCNA reported on Tuesday (July 28).
