North Little Rock police investigating deadly Wednesday shooting

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Police in North Little Rock said one man is dead following a shooting Wednesday morning.

Officials with the North Little Rock Police Department said officers responded to the 5600 block of Summertree Drive just before 10:45 a.m. after getting a call that someone had been shot.

The officers said that when they arrived they found the victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The man was taken to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.

Detectives have responded to the area and have started their investigation. At this time this shooting is being investigated as a homicide.

Authorities said they are not identifying the victim of this shooting until next of kin can be notified.
