JIM BENEMANN: Despite the heavy snow along the front range in March, mountain snowpack is still below average. That's why some of the water suppliers want residents cut down on the water use. It's one of our top stories on CBS and Denver this hour. The city and county of Broomfield, North Metro and Boulder County, are trying to prevent further drought conditions. They want you to wait till you water the lawns until later in the season when it really needs it. When you do, water less often, always in the evening, fix those leaky sprinkler heads, and please make sure you're not watering the sidewalk or the street.
