North Mockingbird Lane business lost in Wednesday fire

A north Abilene business was destroyed in an early Wednesday morning fire, according to the Abilene Fire Department.

Firefighters at about 4:15 a.m. were called to the 1000 block of North Mockingbird Lane, arriving to see fire coming through the roof. The roof and back wall collapsed. Firefighters could only protect surrounding buildings on the east side of the street.

Damage estimate is $90,000.

The fire is under investigation.
