North Myrtle Beach to make 250 parking spots available to Horry County residents

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — North Myrtle Beach is increasing the number of public parking parking permits available to Horry County residents.

Starting at 10 a.m. on Feb. 28, county residents who do not live in or own property in North Myrtle Beach city limits will be able to register online for one of 250 digital parking permits. The permits will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The one-year permits are $200 and will be valid starting March 1. The registration is online only; walk-ins will not be accepted.

The city council voted on Monday to increase the number of permits available from 200 to 250.

The permits will allow parking based on the license plate number of the person’s vehicle. Anyone who has a handicap placard or license plate is permitted to park in any public spot at no charge, meaning no digital permit is needed.

Anyone with questions can call 843- 663-8650 or email parking@nmb.us.
