North Myrtle Beach man faces sex charges with minor in 2019 incident, warrants show

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — A North Myrtle Beach man is facing sex charges with a minor in connection with a 2019 incident, according to arrest documents from Horry County police obtained by News13.

Joseph Mark Rhodes Jr., 43, has been charged with second-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor 11-14 years of age, online jail records show. He was booked into the J. Reuben Long Detention Center on Monday on a $25,000 bond.

Rhodes is accused of inappropriately touching a girl over her clothes sometime in October 2019, an arrest warrant shows. News13 has chosen not to disclose the street where the incident happened to help protect the victim.

Online records show Rhodes was still in jail as of this writing.
