North Providence, Lincoln, Portsmouth and Prout all swim to victory; and Thursday's schedule

BOYS SWIMMING

North Providence 51, Portsmouth 27

Nicandro Pistacchio and Taj Wehbe each captured two individual events and both swam on the same two winning Relay teams as the Cougars outscored Portsmouth in Division II.

Pistacchio finished first in 200 free (2:36.60) and the backstroke (1:13.85) and Wehbe grabbed wins in the 200 IM (2:38.47) and the 100 butterfly (1:16.53).

Both swimmers swam legs on the winning and 200 medley relay and the 400 free relay teams.

Lincoln 57, vs. Prout/Narr/Char 36

Three swimmers won two individual events each and all three added wins on the same winning relay teams as the Lions defeated Prout/Narr/Char.

Luke Abrahamson won the 200 IM (2:15.21) and the 100 backstroke (3:39.8), Kacper Paprocki finished first in the 50 Free (23.5) and the 100 free (55.1) and Holden Brown had victories in the 100 butterfly (55.87) and the 500 free (504.0). All three participated on the winning 200 free and 400 free relay teams.

GIRLS SWIMMING

Portsmouth 51, North Providence 41:

Hannah Steen finished with victories in the 200 IM (2:46.80) and the 100 butterfly (1:16.94) and she also participated in both the 200 Medley relay and the 400 free relay teams to help the Patriots upend the Cougars in Division II.

Prout 66, Lincoln 28

The Crusaders capitalized on strong performances from Paige Meller and Madison Stearns and upended Lincoln.

Meller won the 200 free (2:06.21) and the 500 free (5:35.01) and Stearns topped all swimmers in the 200 IM (2:21.7) and 100 backstroke (1:06.56).

Both girls rounded out their nights swimming legs on both winning relay teams (400 and 200 medley relays).
