The Times-Union recognizes top performances around Northeast Florida in Week 8 of the 2022 high school football season.
QB Lyle Bennett, Hilliard
In a five-touchdown game, the senior ran for three TDs and completed 14 of 17 passes for 220 yards and two more scores in a 38-0 shutout of Hamilton County.
CB Seth Brooks, Jackson
Intercepted two passes, including the game-clinching pick in the final minute, and helped the Jackson defense shut out Riverside's offense in a 6-2 win.
ATH Jackson Burnett, Bishop Kenny
The senior returned an interception for a 97-yard touchdown and also caught a TD pass on offense in BK's 49-24 win over Episcopal.

CB Jerome Carter, Columbia
The junior picked off a pass and returned it for a 75-yard touchdown to defeat Middleburg 28-14 for the District 3-3S championship.
ATH Cortez Martinez, Baldwin
The senior intercepted two passes, one for a 65-yard return, and rushed for a touchdown in a 19-12 win over Westside.
QB D.J. Moore, Bolles
The junior passed for three touchdowns, completing 9 of 11 for 197 yards in a 55-6 win over Wolfson.
RB Ta'Jon Nelms, Fernandina Beach
Rushed for 175 yards and five touchdowns, giving him 10 touchdowns in the past two games, during a 42-14 win over West Nassau.
QB Johnathan Rentrope, Paxon
The quarterback rushed for three touchdowns and 135 yards, and passed for two touchdowns and 115 yards, as the Golden Eagles beat Beachside 34-21.
RB JoJo Restall, Orange Park
The senior ran nine times for 159 yards and three touchdowns as the Raiders defeated Ridgeview 32-14.
ATH Cam Smith, Baker County
The senior returned an interception for a touchdown and scored on two rushes, gaining 221 all-purpose yards to lead Baker County past Yulee 31-30.
QB Riley Trujillo, Bartram Trail
The junior completed 20 of 25 passes for 328 yards and four touchdowns as the Bears beat Creekside 59-27 in District 3-4S action.
RB Treyaun Webb, Trinity Christian
The senior rushed 18 times for 187 yards, including a 93-yard touchdown, in a 20-13 victory over University Christian.
