Lehigh Valley Hospital- Pocono's first baby of the year arrived in East Stroudsburg at 8:11 a.m. on January 3.

Baby Everly Goodman was born to proud parents Samantha and Ronny Goodman, and big sister, Daisy, who is 4 years old. Everly weighs in at 10 pounds, 3 ounces, and is 20.5 inches long.

Baby Garala born at Cedar Crest

LVH-Cedar Crest welcomed their first baby at 1:39 a.m. on Jan. 1, 2023.

Baby Girl Garala was born to first time parents Shraddha Patel and Pavan Garala of Allentown. The Lehigh Valley's newest resident weighs in at 5 pounds, 15 ounces, and is 18.5 long.

The little one was due Jan. 4 and surprised mom and dad with an early arrival.

Pottsville's newest resident is Baby Aurora

At LVH–Schuylkill, Baby Aurora Martinez made her first appearance at 3:50 a.m. Jan. 2. Baby Aurora was born to mother Casey and father Giovani Martinez of Pottsville.

Baby Aurora weighs in at 7 pounds, 12 ounces and is 20.5 inches long. The family was presented with a gift basket from Lehigh Valley Reilly Children's Hospital and a big brother bag for five-year-old brother Kaiden.

Baby boy Hunter Russell was born to Adrian and Kathryn Russell from Breinigsville, Pennsylvania, and was delivered by Dr. Rachel O’Connell. He weighs in at 7 pounds, 3 ounces, and is 20.5 inches long.

Baby Girl Karter Mae arrives in Scranton

Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton welcomed their first baby of the year at 9:07 a.m. on Jan. 1.

Brantley Burrows is the first baby of the New Year born at Wayne Memorial Hospital’s New Beginnings Birthing Suites. He arrived on Monday, January 2nd at 3:37 p.m to parents Anastasia Dunlap and Damian Burrows of Starrucca, Pennsylvania.

Wayne Memorial Hospital's New Beginnings Birthing Suites welcomed Baby boy Brantley Burrows at 3:37 p.m. on Jan. 2.

Little Brantley arrived weighing 7 lbs. 1.2 ounces and stretching 20 inches in length.

His delighted parents are Anastasia Dunlap and Damian Burrows of Starrucca.

They received a big "First Baby" basket full of goodies. The baby’s delivery was facilitated by Dr. Angela Tang, a board-certified obstetrician with the Women’s Health Center in Honesdale, part of Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers.

Mom predicts Brantley “is going to be a competitor!”

It was slow going for a long while until another mom showed up with a baby on the way.

“Brantley arrived 20 minutes later,” earning the title First Baby of ‘23. According to mom, she is "completely content" and the staff was "great."
